The RCMP investigation into the discovery of a deceased male in Behchokǫ̀ continues.
On July 18th, around 7 a.m. the Behchokǫ̀ RCMP received a complaint of an un-responsive male laying in a grassy area next to a roadway in the community of Behchokǫ̀. Officers attended and determined that the male was deceased. The preliminary investigation into this incident supports that the deceased, a 28-year-old male from Behchokǫ̀, was the victim of a homicide.
At this time, there have been no arrests in relation this incident. Members of the Major Crime Unit are continuing the investigation. Residents of Behchokǫ̀ may continue to see an increased police presence in the community throughout the coming days.
