MLA Frederick Blake ‘renews’ call to action in month two of Frank Gruben’s disappearance

Mackenzie Delta MLA Frederick Blake has ‘renewed’ the call for Frank Gruben after his disappearance more than two months ago.

Gruben was last heard from on May 5th, 2023, and was reported missing three days later, marking 75 days missing as of July 20th.

“With the permission of Frank’s family, I am renewing the plea for anyone with knowledge of Frank’s whereabouts to please reach out to Crime Stoppers or the Fort Smith RCMP,” the MLA says.

In a press conference on June 30th, NWT RCMP Chief Superintendent Syd Lecky said the investigation has been exhaustive, and the Fort Smith RCMP have not stopped their investigation.

“We’ve had no hiccups in terms of getting information, but this is an appeal essentially to the public, that if there’s information regarding Mr. Gruben’s situation, we would love to hear from you,” Lecky said.

MLA Blake’s office is calling the situation ‘a family’s worst nightmare’ and Blakes office has called for a goal to bring Gruben home soon.

“Let’s bring Frank home before we hit 100 days,” Blake’s office says. “Frank’s family, his friends, and the people of the Northwest Territories deserve answers,” the MLA adds.
