Snowbuddy’s Winter Garden opening today

Things are happening quite differently this year at Snowking’s Winter Festival.

Since there is no Snowcastle due to COVID restrictions, Snowbuddy’s Winter Garden, the outdoor, open-air playground is opening up instead for residents to visit and enjoy.

The garden is free to enter and provides a more spacious experience that allows for social distancing. A snow maze and ice slides are a few of the main attractions of the garden.

The winter garden opens for regular visits starting March 2nd from 2:30 to 5 p.m. during weekdays and from 12 to 5 p.m. on weekends.

There will be no live performances or café this year, and to limit crowds, everyone is asked to pre-book their visits by going to Snowking’s website.

One of the main attractions planned for the festival this year is the snow carving contest. Beginning March 5th, eight teams of snow sculptors will bring huge snow blocks to life.

The Garden will also be open every Saturday evening to experience the Garden’s “breathtaking lighting”.

Although admission is free, Snowking says that online donations are welcome. To confirm and book reservation times, head over to Snowking’s website.
