A celebration of life will be held on Friday for Yellowknife’s Rick Muyres – a craftsman who was known for intricate builds across the north.
Some of Muyres most well-known projects include the restoration of the Wild Cat Café in Yellowknife’s Old Town and the restoration of the historic Trophy Lodge in Fort Reliance, NWT.
A celebration of Muyres’ life will be held on Friday at Yellowknife’s Rotary Park from 2 to 4pm with stories, music and a gathering of friends and family.
Muyres died of pancreatic cancer on June 22 in a Lloydminster Hospital. He was 63 years old.
