One COVID-19 case has been reported in Fort Liard, just after the community had its lockdown lifted by the GNWT.
The case is not related to the now resolved community cluster.
The case stems from travel outside the territory.
There are few contacts identified so far by public health, with no community exposure having been identified.
The individual is isolating and doing well.
Fort Liard had just had its two week mandatory isolation period lifted on Saturday after a community cluster of five COVID-19 cases had all recovered.
This brings the NWT’s total number of cases to 36, with this individual in Fort Liard the only active case.
The GNWT is holding a COVID-19 update today.
