Yellowknife’s city council is changing its meeting times

Yellowknife’s city council is changing things up. Mondays at noon have been a regular time for council meetings. In line with the revised work plan for 2024-26, Mayor Alty says they have explored ways to improve procedural efficiency.

As a result, meetings will now be held at 7 p.m. and noon on the second and fourth Mondays, with the first and third Mondays’ noon sessions being discontinued. Additional meetings will be arranged as needed to reduce the total monthly meetings from six to four.
