IG Wealth Management Walk for Alzheimer’s is happening this Saturday, May 25. Registration begins at 9 a.m., and the walk starts at 11 a.m., followed by a barbecue. The 5km route is from the Bakers Community Centre to the legislature and back. The road will be closed for the event. It’s a walk to raise awareness for all forms of dementia. IG Wealth Management and the Yellowknife Elks will sponsor the event, and Co-op grocery store will handle the barbecue. There is no registration fee, and donations are optional. The walk is family-friendly, and around 50 people are expected to participate and the current fundraising total is $2,500. To participate, register here.
