Applications are now open for the GNWT’s Accessibility and Inclusion Award.
This is an annual award that recognizes the contributions made towards making the NWT a more accessible place to live. The award focuses on the accomplishments of an individual who has put in work to try and improve the living conditions of people with disabilities.
The recipient of the award will be announced during the week of May 26th to June 1st, so that it will align with National AccessAbility Week in Canada.
The deadline for nominations is on Friday, April 26th. Nomination forms can be found by clicking here.
There are additional accessibility awards currently taking applications as well. The GNWT is currently seeking nominations for the NWT Disabilities Council Community Champion Award, and the Human Rights Commission Accessibility Award.
