The City of Yellowknife has shared the snow cleaning schedule for the first week of 2024.
On Monday, January 1st, due to the statutory holiday, there will be no snow removal on New Year’s Day.
On Tuesday, Finlayson Drive South will be cleaned from Range Lake Road to Banke Crescent.
Wednesday will see 44 Street cleaned from 52 Avenue to School Draw Avenue, Franklin Avenue from Forrest Drive to Reservoir Road, and Herriman Road from Borden Drive to Borden Drive.
On Thursday, Otto Dive will be cleaned from Morrison Drive to Sikyea Tili, as well as Arden Avenue from Dagenais Drive to Finlayson Drive.
Finally, Friday will see cleanings happening on Bigelow Crescent from Woolgar Avenue to Williams Avenue, and Magrum Crescent from Piro Court to Borden Drive.
The City is also advising residents that snow from public sidewalks abutting your property may be placed on the road, however, snow from your driveway or any other portion of your property cannot. Placing unauthorized snow on the road greatly increases snow volumes, and therefore creates unsafe driving conditions. This snow must be placed on your own property.
