The Town of Hay River has shared the results of their 2023 Holiday Lights Competition.
Over the holidays, the town encouraged residents to decorate their houses as lavishly as possible to help bring out the holiday spirit after a hard year.
The displays were separated into four different categories:
“Light Up the Town” for the most creative use of lights,
“Classic Christmas” for the best use of traditional Christmas décor,
“Clark W Griswald” for the most extravagant display that could be “seen from Space”, and;
“Best Business” for the best light display put on by a commercial business.
Mayor Kandis Jameson and several members of the Town Council drove around to judge the entries, and shared the winners on the Town Facebook page.
