No new fires sprung up in the territory yesterday, as much of the NWT saw some much needed weekend rainfall.
Officials say strong, north winds in the North Slave lead to increased fire activity in areas that have not seen much activity at all, particularly in the Dettah fire.
Despite increased activity, NWT Fire says the blaze remains about 28km southeast of the community, and there is no threat to the population centre at this time.
Crews have continued to monitor the flames, and value protection assessment is scheduled to continue today.
