No precipitation in the forecast for the North Slave as fire season continues to slow down due to active crews continuing the fight through the season shift.
According to NWT Fire, across the North Slave, crews have continued mopping up, bucketing, and demobilizing equipment for redeployment.
Officials say crews remain active on Highway 3 between kilometre marker 280 and Yellowknife, and anyone driving through the area is asked to drive carefully, watch out for crews, and follow all direction.
Outside Yellowknife, crews continue to work along the north side of the south finger after hotspots were identified by a recent scan.
In Dettah, crews are actioning hotspots by Watta Lake Lodge, and NWT Fire says the blaze “will be assessed daily and monitored.”
