NWT Métis Nation to provide $300 in support funding for Métis evacuees

Wildfire evacuation assistance funding could be on its way for members of the Northwest Territories Métis Nation (NWTMN). 

In a statement, the NWTMN announced they have received approval from the three Métis local governments in Fort Smith, Hay River, and Fort Resolution, to issue a $300 payment for each evacuee that meets certain criteria. 

 Successful applicants must have been residing and evacuated from Enterprise, Fort Smith, Hay River, and Yellowknife.

A digital void cheque must be submitted to [email protected]. Anyone who has recieved a direct deposit in the past two years will already have their banking information on file. 

Payments will be made by direct deposit only and cheques will not be mailed.
