The wildfire between Yellowknife and Behchokǫ̀ remains out of control and was last mapped at 136,109 hectares burned and the blaze has reached Boundary Creek.
According to NWT Fire, last night, breaches developed on the established lines to the east of the fire on the south and north side of Highway 3 due to extreme winds, progressing around 3km east.
An evacuation order has been announced between kilometre marker 284 and 320.
NWT Fire says Yellowknife, N’Dilo, and Dettah are not currently at threat; however, residents are encouraged to be ready should the situation change.
