Here are the latest COVID numbers, for January 20th.
According to the GNWT’s COVID-19 dashboard, there are currently 1,300 active cases across the territories. 1,239 are found in NWT residents, with 61 in non-residents. There has so far been a total of 4,560 cases, with 3,247 now resolved.
By community, there are currently 707 cases in the Yellowknife area, 203 in Tłı̨chǫ, 134 in the Beaufort Delta area, and 73 in Sahtu. Dehcho currently has 54 cases, Hay river has 70, and Fort Smith has 59.
There have now been 71 hospitalizations, 21 admissions to the ICU, and 13 deaths.
At the time of the latest report, 77 percent of the NWT population has been fully vaccinated.
