Food trucks: get ready.

For a second year, the City of Yellowknife will be hosting a lottery for food truck vendors to win designated parking spots in the downtown YK area. The winning trucks will have the designated spots for the upcoming food truck season.

Last summer, three food truck vendors were rewarded with spots downtown. According to the City, “the ability to park at a constant location was well-received by both the vendors and their customers.

Food truck operators must have their business license and all related paperwork completed and submitted to the City no later than May 8th to apply. The lottery will take place the next week on May 15th.

To see where the designated spots will be, visit the City’s website to view a map.
