Community and Heritage Grant Applications Open for 2024

The City of Yellowknife has announced that several Grants are now taking applications for the 2024 year.

 

The two grants that are currently available are the Community Grant Funding Program, as well as the Heritage Committee Grant Funding Program.

 

Through the Community Grant, the City provides one year of Community Service Grant funding to non-profit organizations based in Yellowknife for start-up or enhancement of programs or projects.  The maximum amount to be awarded is 30% of the submitted budget to a maximum of $10,000. Funding must be used within the grant year. Applications for this grant can be found by clicking here.

 

The purpose of the Heritage Committee is to assist the City in an advisory capacity regarding the management of heritage interests of the City of Yellowknife.

The role of the Heritage Committee is to make recommendations to the appropriate Standing Committee of Council regarding the preservation of Yellowknife’s heritage and its value to the community. The Heritage Committee may grant up to $5,000 for a proposal, whereas any request exceeding $5,000 must receive Council approval.
