Canada Post is offering free mail forwarding services to NWT residents who have been impacted by the evacuations.
Northern residents who live within the X0E and X1A postal codes are able to apply for this service. Anyone who is staying in a community centre, hotel, motel, or shelter who wishes to access free mail forwarding are asked to head to a nearby Canada Post corporate office and request that your mail be forwarded to that location, though it may take several days for it to take effect.
Any mail being held since the evacuation may not be able to reach you right away but new mail being processed can be forwarded.
