A limited number of Outfitter Licenses are now available for Units U and R in the NWT. The license is a requirement if you plan on providing equipment and guides for people hunting big game.
The GNWT says anyone receiving a form of payment in money, goods, or services in exchange for hunting services must also obtain a license from the GNWT.
The number of Licenses are limited, and the GNWT says complete applications will be considered on a first-come, first-served basis.
Successful applicants must have a Certificate of Good Standing from Corporate Registries, letters of support from Indigenous governments on land where you will be outfitting, and the appropriate fee ($800 for a new license or $440 for a renewal).
Applications may be obtained through local regional offices. Interested applicants are encouraged to contact [email protected].
