Tulita Residents Invited to Share Feedback on Proposed Bridge

The GNWT is inviting residents of Tulita to provide their feedback on a proposed offsetting plan for the Great Bear River Bridge.

The meeting will take place on Thursday, April 25th from 6:00 to 8:00pm at the Tulita Community Arena. Residents will be provided with an update on the project, as well as a discussion on the Fish and Fish Habitat Offsetting plan.

The proposal will see the bridge built at kilometre 938 on the Mackenzie Valley Winter Road. The GNWT is stating that the bridge will not only provide greater efficiencies for industry, but will also allow for greater access for residents of the nearby communities to connect to each other. They believe that access to healthcare facilities will also be improved.

Tulita residents will also be able to send in online engagement on the plan until May 15th.

Online feedback can be sent in by clicking here.
