The total number of COVID cases have slightly dropped in the latest report.
According to the GNWT’s COVID-19 dashboard, there are currently 1,252 active cases across the territories. 1,187 are found in NWT residents, with 65 in non-residents. There has so far been a total of 4,422 cases, with 3,157 now resolved.
By community, there are currently 609 cases in the Yellowknife area, 186 in Tłı̨chǫ, 116 in the Beaufort Delta area, and 80 in Sahtu. Dehcho currently has 65 cases, Hay river has 59, and Fort Smith has 56.
There have now been 70 hospitalizations, 20 admissions to the ICU, and one new death, bringing the total to 13.
At the time of the latest report, 77 percent of the NWT population has been fully vaccinated.
