Snowfall warning for Yellowknife

A snowfall warning for Yellowknife has been declared by Environment Canada. 

Between 15 and 25 centimetres is expected over night and tomorrow. 

Ten centimetres is expected tonight, with 15 centimetres to come throughout the rest of the weekend. 

The snow is expected to continue into Monday.

“Rapidly accumulating snow could make travel difficult over some locations,” Environment Canada said in a statement. “Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow.”

A Snowfall Warning is issued, depending on the region, when 10 to 15 centimetres or more of snow falls within 12 hours or less.
