Les Skinner, President of the Sport North Federation has resigned from his position.
Skinner has accepted the position of NWT private sector representative with the Arctic Winter Games International Committee (AWGIC).
Bill Othmer, Executive Director of Sport North says that the AWGIC previously advised them that Directors of Sport Organizations funded by the Government are not eligible to sit on the AWGIC.
“Les’ dedication and devotion to the Sport North Staff, Board & Membership will be dearly missed, and we wish him the best of Luck in his new position.”
Sport North’s Vice President Colin Pybus will step into the role as President effectively immediately.
