Community Gathering on Reconciliation planned by the City of Yellowknife

It’s a chance to voice your ideas and have your opinion heard.

The City of Yellowknife invites residents to a Community Gathering on Reconciliation, from 7:00 – 9:30 p.m. on Thursday, September 12.

Marie Wilson, former Commissioner of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada, will facilitate a dialogue on reconciliation that aims to further develop ideas to be considered in the City’s Reconciliation Action Plan.

The event will take place in the Copper Room at the Quality Inn (formerly the Yellowknife Inn). Refreshments will also be provided.

The City held engagement sessions throughout the summer which introduced the document ‘Reconciliation: Starting the Conversation’. This Community Gathering on Reconciliation hopes to further this discussion and open the conversation up to all Yellowknife residents to share their thoughts and ideas.
