The GNWT’s Office of the Fire Marshal is currently investigating a structure fire that took place on Monday night in Yellowknife.
First responders were sent out around 9:40pm on the evening of Monday, April 8th to a fire at a commercial property on 50th Avenue.
Members of the Yellowknife Fire Division were able to extinguish the blaze, and remained on the scene for around three hours. The Municipal Enforcement Division were also on the scene to help direct traffic away from the situation.
The Office of the Fire Marshal has since taken over the investigation. More information on this incident will be shared once it becomes available.
