The City of Yellowknife has a new batch of busses on the way.
In working with Transdev, the City recently announced that the new Yellowknife Transit Fleet will be launching with eight busses, each of them fully wheelchair accessible.
Each bus will be able to hold two wheelchairs, and will be equipped with loading ramps. The busses also have better emissions controls, and are expected to be better able to resist breakdowns.
A special unveiling event will be held at the Fieldhouse on Tuesday, April 9th at 10:00am. Those present will be able to tour the busses and learn about their new features.
