City of Yellowknife Reviewing Effectiveness of Street Outreach Program

The City of Yellowknife has contracted a special consultant to perform an overview of the City’s Street Outreach Program.

This Program is operated by the Yellowknife Women’s Society, and provides services such as transportation and other necessities to the street-based population within the City. The evaluation will be taking a look at what the Program does best, and what can be improved upon. It will also be looking into the satisfaction of the program from the point of views of the staff, their clients and partners, as well as the general public.

In a statement, Yellowknife Mayor Rebecca Alty said that the program has had a “wide impact across Yellowknife, and it is important that we involve the community in the reshaping and evolution of this program to ensure the changes made reflect the needs of the community.”

Yellokwnife residents are invited to share their opinions and feedback through an online survey, which will be open until March 31st. The survey can be found by clicking here.
