Two Inuvik residents were sent to the hospital after a double stabbing that RCMP are now investigating.
Early in the morning on March 18th, Inuvik officers were called to an apartment building and found the two individuals were suffering from stab wounds. Both victims were quickly taken to the Inuvik Hospital by EMS. One victim has already been released by the Hospital, while the other had to be medivac’d to Stanton Territorial Hospital in Yellowknife for further treatment.
A female suspect was on the scene when police arrived. She was quickly arrested and taken into custody. She has been charged with two counts of Aggravated Assault, two counts of Assault with a Weapon, and will remain in custody until an appearance in court on April 2nd.
Inuvik officers are still investigating this matter, and will welcome any additional information from the public at 777-1111.
