The Town of Hay River is once again honouring the memory of an RCMP officer who died in the line of duty on October 6, 2007.
Cst Chris Worden (Reg. No. 49314) died while protecting his community of Hay River. A vigil has once again been set up to honour the officer, located at the Hay River Community Centre. The vigil was opened to the public at 12:30, and will later make it’s way to the Hay River RCMP Detachment where there will be a brief dedication of a new plaque.
This year will mark 16 years since his death. Rest in Peace, Cst Chris Worden, end of watch, October 6, 2007.
