The GNWT has extended the deadline to submit final Disaster Assistance claims for residents affected by the 2022 flood in Hay River to December 31, 2024.
“It is critical that those who intend to apply for Disaster Assistance have their documentation in by the deadline so that their request can be processed,” the GNWT says.
According to the GNWT’s Disaster Recovery information, a maximum of $240,000 is available per claim and a single property is only eligible for assistances up to three times.
The GNWT adds that pathfinders are available for residents to assist with documentation concerns and answer questions.
The deadline for the 2023 wildfire disaster remains November 29, 2023.
