The Town of Inuvik will be subject to a planned power outage on the morning of Wednesday, September 27th.
The announcement was made by the Northwest Territories Power Corporation, who have carried out similar procedures in several communities accross the North since the end of the evacuation order.
This Inuvik power outage is expected to last between 15 to 30 minutes, and will occur sometime between 9:00 am and 11:00 am. This outage is part of commisioning work being done for a wind turbine, and will be dependant on wind conditions within the community.
The outage will affect the entire town, for which the NTPC apologizes, and ensures that their workers will conduct their jobs safely, and as fast as possible.
