As mop up efforts continue across the territory, and residents begin to return home, NWT Fire has issued a call out for additional firefighters in the NWT.
If an individual has had S-131 Extra Firefighter (EFF) training in the past three years, North and South Slave crews are asking for their support.
Jobs will include basic firefighting activities and assistance with mop-up operations, and paid work can begin as early as next week.
According to NWT Fire, North Slave currently presents the most urgent need for support.
