Financial relief for Yellowknives Dene First Nation evacuees is officially here.
On August 30, 2023 from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm YKDFN will begin disbursing payments to all eligible YKDFN members who have been forced to evacuate from their communities.
The Venue at River Cree Resort and Casino in Enoch, AB, outside Edmonton. Residents 18-year-old and under must be accompanied by a parent and use the Twin Arenas entrance.
Eligible applicants must be a YKDFN member, must reside in Dettah, N’dilo, Yellowknife, Hay River, or Fort Smith, and must have a valid government issued photo-ID.
“YKDFN will be working to make sure no member is left out and all receive equal treatment,” YKDFN says.
