UPDATE: The Hay River Detachment’s phones are back in service. Folks looking to contact the Hay River RCMP can now dial 867-874-1111.
The Hay River RCMP has confirmed they are experiencing issues with their phone lines despite telecommunication restoration efforts in the South Slave.
According to the RCMP, both the non-emergency and emergency lines are not working at this time. The issue is currently being looked into but as it stands, there is no estimated time for repair.
Anyone in need of the Hay River RCMP is asked to call the Yellowknife RCMP line at 1-(867)-669-1111. Callers are asked to explain to the dispatcher their call relates to a Hay River matter so the call may directed accordingly.
