The evening of August 18th, around 11:09pm, Members of the Yellowknife RCMP responded to a complaint regarding a home invasion.
Upon arrival, RCMP were told a man and woman forced their way into the apartment of a 77-year-old man.
The victim reported to police the man was armed with a baseball bat and stole cash and a cell phone from him.
Yellowknife RCMP say they were able to identify and locate the two suspects through surveillance footage from the apartment building. Police say the cash and cell-phone were recovered.
Both the 34-year-old Yellowknife man and 30-year-old Yellowknife woman are currently in custody and police say they will be released and transported to an evacuation departure. Charges are pending against both.
