Late in the evening on Monday night, the city of Yellowknife found itself without power for about twenty minutes.
Around 8:10 p.m., residents and businesses had their lights turned off without warning, as a sudden power outage struck much of the city. Fortunately, it didn’t last very long, and things were back to normal right around 8:40.
The Northwest Territories Power Corporation has said that they are currently investigating what the cause of the outage may have been.
The city is currently using a combination of hydro and diesel power.
