A suspect is being held in custody and is facing charges after a shooting in Fort Providence left one man dead and two others seriously injured.
Fort Providence RCMP reported that the suspect was taken into custody in B.C. on May 15 in relation to the shooting that happened in Fort Providence.
RCMP reported today that the suspect was located in a residence in Kelowna, B.C., following an unrelated search warrant conducted by the Kelowna RCMP’s Emergency Response Team on behalf of the Surrey Police Service.
The suspect has been remanded into custody and will be transported back to N.W.T. to face charges of murder and aggravated assault.
