A man was recently arrested in Deline, and has received several drug trafficking charges.
Deline officers were informed on August 22nd that an individual would be arriving by plane in the community who had several warrants out for their arrest. Officers gathered at the airport, and arrested the man without incident as soon as he arrived.
During the arrest, officers discovered around 17 grams of suspected cocaine, as well as drug trafficking supplies.
43-year-old William McNeely of Yellowknife has been charged with Possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, and Failure to Comply with release order conditions.
McNeely is being held in custody and is awaiting a further court appearance.
