In working with the Sport North Federation, the GNWT is currently looking for applications for the 2024-25 High Performance Athlete Grant.
This grant gives funding to athletes from the NWT to help cover the costs of training and competing in their chosen sport. The funding that each recipient will receive will be based on both athletic achievement and recognition at the national and international level.
In order to be eligible for the grants, applicants must be a member of a National or Territorial sporting organization and be in good standing. Applicants must be a Canadian citizen and a resident of the Northwest Territories. Applicants must not be employed at a full-time basis, and cannot be receiving remuneration from any professional sporting league. Finally, applicants must also reside outside the NWT for the duration of their sport season.
