Yellowknife Postpones Community Showcase Event

The City of Yellowknife has just announced that they have rescheduled their annual Community Showcase event.

Unsurprisingly, with much of the city still needing some time to get back to regular business after the evacuations, the Community Showcase has officially been rescheduled to Thursday, September 21st.

This event is an opportunity for residents to connect directly with community organizations, and for organizations to showcase what they have to offer in one location. It will run from 6:00 to 8:00pm at the Yellowknife Multiplex. Local non-profit organizations offering leisure, health, education, and active living opportunities will be featured at this event.

Residents will also have the chance to register for various different programs and leagues, as well as offer volunteer services for those who are looking. For community organizations, this is a way to recruit new members or volunteers, and to share information.

For organizations who may wish to be involved in this event, tables are reserved on a first come, first serve basis. Tables will be open for reservations until September 20th. Reservations and more information can be found by clicking here.
