Residents of Behchokǫ̀ have been advised to evacuate the community by tonight due to growing wildfire concerns.
Folks with vehicles may leave to Yellowknife as soon as they are able and register at the Multiplex upon arrival.
According to SAO Pushp Seth, evacuees driving their own vehicle are eligible for $100 gas vouchers, available at the Khon Go Cho Centre.
People who require transportation are required to meet at the Khon Go Cho Centre to register immediately.
The Community Government of Behchokǫ̀ will aid evacuees through the registration process.
