Marine Transportation Services (MTS)’s 2023 resupply season set sail with the MV Vic Ingraham leaving Hay River on June 27.
The vessel towed six barges filled with petroleum products and cargo.
According to the GNWT, this is the first of six sailings planned to leave the Hay River terminal this season, marking the Marine Transportation Services’ seventh sailing season.
MTS says during the 2023 resupply season, they will deliver fuel and cargo to 10 NWT communities and one Nunavut community going as far north as Inuvik, Tuktoyaktuk in the NWT, and Kugluktuk in Nunavut.
Trips around the Territory are scheduled through the summer with a final estimated departure date of August 12, headed towards Fort Good Hope.
