City of Yellowknife Reopens Certain Facilities

The city of Yellowknife is starting to reopen.

It was recently announced that, on the recomendation from the Chief Public Health Officer, several city-owned facilities will be lifting some of their COVID restrictions.

Here are the facilities that will open, as well as their times;

– City Hall, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday to Friday
– Yellowknife Public Library, regular business hours.
– Field House, regular business hours
– Multiplex, regular business hours, ice times by rental only.
– Solid Waste Facility, 11:00 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. Tuesday to Saturday
– Yellowknife Public Transit, regular service hours on all routes.
Certain city programs will also resume, though high risk activities are still suspended.

They will officially reopen on Saturday, January 22nd, though certain health guidelines will remain in place.
