Ndilo death: woman charged with second-degree murder

Police are now treating the death of a man in Ndilo as a homicide and have charged a woman with murder.

Yellowknife resident Beverly Villeneuve, 46, has been charged with second-degree murder and was set to appear in court today.

RCMP are now sure the death of the man – who has not been formally identified – was a homicide, having been first called to an Ndilo home just after 11pm on Monday.

“Members attended and observed a critically injured male receiving emergency treatment from paramedics,” said police in an earlier statement issued on Tuesday.
