Police are now treating the death of a man in Ndilo as a homicide and have charged a woman with murder.
Yellowknife resident Beverly Villeneuve, 46, has been charged with second-degree murder and was set to appear in court today.
RCMP are now sure the death of the man – who has not been formally identified – was a homicide, having been first called to an Ndilo home just after 11pm on Monday.
“Members attended and observed a critically injured male receiving emergency treatment from paramedics,” said police in an earlier statement issued on Tuesday.
“The male was rushed to Stanton Territorial Hospital but was declared deceased.
“A suspect was located at the residence and was arrested without incident. The victim and suspect are known to one another. The suspect remains in police custody at this time.”
