Fort Simpson RCMP attended the scene of a residential fire in the community.
Around 7:30 yesterday RCMP officers found the home engulfed in flames.
The local Fire Department attended and suppressed the fire.
The house sustained major damage. No one was injured.
RCMP are investigating along with the Office of the Fire Marshall for the Northwest Territories to work out if the fire was criminal in nature.
