Inuvik RCMP investigating a sudden death

The Inuvik RCMP is investigating a sudden death in the community.

At approximately 9:58 p.m., on Tuesday, November 5, The Inuvik RCMP responded to a call for service of an unresponsive adult man in a residence. The 54-year-old man was pronounced deceased by medical personnel.

The Inuvik RCMP, in conjunction with the NWT Coroner Services, are conducting an investigation into the sudden death. NT RCMP Major Crime Unit and Forensic Identification Unit are assisting with the investigation.

As the investigation is ongoing, the police will not be releasing any additional information at this time.
