Green Party leader Elizabeth May to visit Yellowknife this week

The public is invited to a community town hall on July 3rd from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m as Green Party of Canada Leader Elizabeth May will be visiting Yellowknife on both July 3rd and 4th. The town hall meeting will be held at Northern United Place on Franklin Avenue.

“The purpose of the town hall is to spark genuine conversation about what we can all do together to secure our future for humanity and the natural world” according to a statement from the party. All are invited to come and share their priorities, concerns and vision for Canada‚Äôs future.

Other events are under development and will be posted to the NWT Green Party Facebook page as they are confirmed.

The NWT Green Party will be selecting their candidate for the upcoming federal election on July 10th. Paul Falvo and William Gagnon are the two nominees for the candidacy.

Polling day for the election is October 21st.
