Yellowknife, NWT – RCMP are investigating the death of a female in a downtown Yellowknife alley.
Officers sealed off an alley behind the Gold Range hotel and bar having received a call at 7.30am on Saturday.
In a statement, RCMP said they and emergency medical services “responded to a report of an unresponsive female in the alleyway between 50th Street and 51st Street”.
The statement continued: “The female was transported to Stanton Territorial Hospital where she was pronounced deceased. The chief coroner of the Northwest Territories and the RCMP are investigating the death.”
No indication of the deceased person’s age has yet been given.
