The Fort Good Hope RCMP are currently investigating the cause of a suspicious death within the community.
Officers were asked on February 24th to perform a wellbeing check on a local resident. Once they arrived on the scene, they found the 29-year-old man already deceased.
The Northwest Territories RCMP Major Crimes Unit has taken charge of this investigation, which has determined that this death has occurred under suspicious circumstances.
Fort Good Hope residents can expect to see an increased police presence in the area as this investigation progresses.
