Have zero idea what “net zero” is all about? Join us for dinner and a discussion to learn more on Wednesday, February 19th from 6:30-8pm in the Tree of Peace Boardroom (5011 51 St.).
We’ll hear from Dr. Debora Van Nijnatten (Wilfrid Laurier University), Mark Hyeck (Arctic Energy Alliance), and Ben Israel (GNWT) about “net zero” and its relationship to food security, energy and infrastructure, and climate change in the NWT. Discussion to follow.

This event is part of the GNWT and Ecology North’s Climate Change Speaker Series. It explores the GNWT’s adoption of “net zero” as a policy priority, and its Climate Strategic Framework Theme 1 (transition to a strong, healthy economy that uses less fossil fuel).
